The creation of the universe, our relation to food, and raising consciousness

The creation of the universe, our relationship to food, and the raising of consciousness...
Join us as we start our 2014 meditations to initiate the spring season.  As spring is a time for re-birth, for transformation, it is only fitting that we return to our previous discussion on the birth of the universe and how it relates to the way we take care of ourselves...what we feed our body and how we develop our minds!

Reflect on the quality of how you are feeling in your life and how you are living it.   Are you living a life that allows for deeper resonance with the universe, with nature...its cycles, rhythms, and healing power?  Are you aligning your thoughts, words, and actions with IT?  If so, you may be experiencing greater synchronicity, harmony, joy, wonder, balance, and inner peace.  You may feel energized, inspired, your skin aglow, strong in health and resilience, able to endure, stay on track, and attain higher aspirations.  If not, you may be experiencing greater discord, struggle, sadness, rigidity, and disconnection.  You may feel fatigued, unmotivated, pale or discolored, vulnerable and prone to illness and injury, distracted, unfocused, and/or settling for less feeling stuck.

The very universe without is the very universe within and if you are feeling more of the later, it is crucial to look at those areas that are not in accord with nature herself.  The consort of the universe is nature herself so lets look at natures laws and witness the very elements of the universe within her.

The seed in spring is governed by proper timing, proper conditions in the soil, and proper watering.  The sprout is governed by proper sunlight and nutrients.  The plant is governed by proper circulation of air and sufficient space.  Within nature we witness the fundamental building blocks of the universe.  Like a plant, so too are we.  We are of earth, water, light, air, and space...we are the universe within and all of these things determine our health, our ability to resist disease, to heal and rejuvenate, and to bare fruit which is our awareness, our presence...our consciousness.  The sweetness and fullness of our consciousness, of our life, is directly cultivated by our practice .

Yoga and ayurveda are systems that are based on applying these very principals, to the cultivation and development of our body and mind.

From this understanding yoga and ayurveda have much to offer a world that in its technological advancements in the material world, has all too long distracted or taken people away from, the natural and intuitive knowledge that lies within.  Too much unconcentrated fragmentation on what lies outside us.
So, when we engage in our practice with full awareness of the laws governing the universe and apply those laws in what and how we eat, maintain our bodies, and develop our minds, living becomes a sacred, artistic stream of actions.  Our body becomes the temple, our mind the altar, and our consciousness divine.

Join us as we talk about the creation of the universe, developing a healthy, spiritual relationship to food, our bodies, and minds, and taking our lives to a higher level of awareness!!!!
